UCP has partnered with Johnson County Parks Recreation District (JCPRD) to bring a challenging race for people of all abilities.. Formerly named the Shawnee Mission Triathlon, 2013 marks the race's 29th consecutive year.. With our partnership, a challenged athlete division is being added to include athletes with an array of disabilities.. Barstool Open.. UCP will not host The Barstool Open in 2013.. After 13 years of this fun event and careful evaluation of the results, we decided to discontinue the pub crawl.. All fundraising events require time and energy and financial resources.. Ideally, events sponsored by UCP raise money in excess of the resources committed, raise awareness of the organization, and contribute ... Central States Beverage Company and Midwest Distributors for 13 years of support in executing this event.. We very much appreciate the bars who worked with us each year the owners, managers and staff who said yes each year, provided putting greens, and showed up to serve our players.. To the hundreds of volunteers over the years some of you volunteered for all 13: you made this multi-venue one-day event possible, you were wonderful! And to the players, so many of whom came back year after year, we say thank you for your enthusiasm and loyalty and willingness to help UCP.. Check back soon!
