    Descriptive info: is a structured sound improvisation.. The performance features two different instruments: a custom-made wireless device that enables the performer to have control of the live electronics and musical structure and a synthesis environment that featuring a probabilistic engine that can be controlled on a meta-level.. Till plays the synthesis part based on Callum Goddards AutoSpatialisation and Rob Hordijk s Benjolin.. Chi-Hsia wears a custom-made wristwatch-like device, which enables her to have control of live electronics and musical structures.. It sends directional and positional information of her hand to a computer where it is used as control parameters for her performance system.. After her undergraduate studies in percussion performance, Chi-Hsia undertook postgraduate studies in New Media Art at ANU in Australia.. Currently Chi-Hsia is a doctoral student at the Media Lab, Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Helsinki, where she investigates into media performance spaces.. Neurodiverse People.. with the field of contemporary electronic and digital music practice (see.. electronic music.. |.. computer music.. ).. In pursuit of this, people with autistic spectrum disorders are invited to take part in the design process of electronic instruments.. To facilitate music practice, we aim for a holistic instrument experience rather than a modular approach in which the underlying modules of electronic instruments, interface mapping sound synthesis, would become too evident and possibly confuse the player too much.. The close integration of target group members encourages a bilateral learning process: on the one hand, there is an intense and fruitful experience for the participants, on the other hand, it opens the opportunity for the involved researchers to identify challenges that are specific to this group yet reveal new perspectives on the broader view of their research area..
