I have come to the end of my Presidency of the Nevada Emergency Medical Association.. New people with passion, energy and vision need to take your Association into 2013 and beyond.. Below are the things that must happen in addition to passing the torch.. By July 30, 2012 I will pay the annual registry renewal of the Domain Name.. nv-nema,.. for $35 so we may keep our internet name we use for the NEMA website.. On August 1, 2012 NEMA will mail out Membership Renewal notifications to all 45 members.. I will also send out the solicitation on the NEMA website and in Facebook page.. All members for whom I have email addresses will also get electronic reminders.. The NEMA, Wells Fargo bank account balance as of the June 26, 2012 statement stands at $330.. 59.. The 2010 Nevada Legislature require all businesses who file an Annual List of Officers to purchase a Nevada Business License with a fee of $200  ...   501C exemption.. This is the main reason the NEMA board members have bailed.. By the end of September, 2012 NEMA must file our Annual List of Officers with the Nevada Secretary of State.. The fee is $25 and must be mailed in, cannot be processed online.. The current list of officers consists of a President and a Treasurer, both of whom are termed out.. New Officers need to be put in place before we file the Annual List of Officers.. These Officers will be selected from the Nominees from last year, Cynthia Williams(N.. Lyon), Leslie Wright(Elko), Jimmy Sealy(Humboldt), Cjes Carney(Central Lyon), Dave Lane(Central Lyon) and a new individual from outside, Jared Oscarson(Washoe).. We are currently trying to schedule a conference call among these individuals to move the selection of officers forward.. The Membership of NEMA will be invited to the Annual Members Meeting in September at the 21.. st.. Annual Rural Nevada EMS Conference in Elko (September 14-15, 2012) to ratify the NEMA Board Officers whose names will go on the Annual List of Officers to the Nevada Secretary of State.. September 19, 2012: The  ...   Francisco, CA, Houston, TX and Arapahoe County, CO in which EMS and hospital case loads and costs associated with those demographics were reduced and those individuals received improved access to specific care and programs not available in hospital emergency departments.. Affiliate Action Council members from Florida and Colorado also reported successful deployement of Community Paramedicine programs.. Oklahoma will be sending out information to create a national networking meeting for State leaders to attend and share how their Associations deal with local and national issues.. Deleware has implemented roadside highway signs to memorialize Line of Duty deaths by emergency responders.. Nevada Emergency Medical Association news..
