This award is offered by the Learning Disabilities Association of America in order to recognize at the national level the contribution of an exceptional educator to individuals with learning disabilities.. In addition to her 20 years of service as a teacher of students with special needs, Ms.. Powell is also the special education department chairperson at her school, ... Public Library..
