    Descriptive info: School Programs.. Stream to Sea.. Wildlife, Habitats and Ecosystems.. Sustainable Living and Air Quality.. Natural Fun! camp program.. Non Instructional Programs.. School programs are generally 1-1.. 5 hours for one lesson.. Fees are $2/student per lesson.. Teachers may combine with other classes to economize transportation, but please be aware we only have one education staff and inside space for one class at a time.. Arrangements may be possible for Nature Centre volunteers to lead activities or hikes for a second class, or teachers may be asked to lead a self-guided lesson while waiting your turn to use the Centre.. Regional Landscape Field Education Program.. High School students from Quesnel and Williams Lake get opportunities to experience the UNBC Quesnel River Research Centre either through class vitisits or mentoring with local researchers.. Call the Nature Education Research Centre for more information.. Lessons usually follow this format:.. 5  ...   You must bring at least one parent/volunteer/staff per 8 students.. Bring your own drinks as there is no water fountain.. Be prepared to be outside in any weather.. Trails may be wet, muddy, snowy, slippery, buggy or prickly at different times of the year.. Wear sturdy footwear that can get muddy and wet.. No flipflops, sandals, etc.. There is wildlife in the park, so be aware of staying together, not littering, etc.. General information about visiting the Centre.. The Nature Education and Resource Centre is located in West Fraser Timber Park, upstairs in the concession/washroom building.. Various restoration and stewardship projects on Baker Creek, Narcosli Creek, Naver Creek, Dragon Creek and wetland.. Three Chinook rearing channels.. A fencing project on Narcosli creek.. Trail, bridge and benches at Chinook Salmon rearing channel.. Implementation of riparian setbacks in the Official Community Plan.. A community Baker Creek watershed sign for City Park.. A Narcosli watershed sign created with local school kids and parents.. A compilation of all fish data onto two sets of mapsheets.. An inventory of fish distribution and associated habitat on Narcosli Creek.. A set of prescriptions for riparian planting along Narcosli Creek..
