The Gallery was founded in 1981 at 1078 Humboldt Road in Chico, CA, as an artist's collective and alternative exhibition space.. Please do not expect an immediate response.. The 1078 frequently takes a long time before making decisions.. Many submissions fall into the category of maybe.. The work may not be appropriate for anything at the moment, but may fit into later programming.. For this reason we prefer to hold onto materials for later reference..
